Earlier this year, Facebook took the wraps off Facebook at Work: an enterprise version of the social network that Facebook had designed for businesses that want to build social networks for their employees. After months of pilots, Facebook today is announcing its biggest customer yet: the Royal Bank of Scotland, which plans to have 30,000 workers on its FB@Work network by March of…
It should be easy to tell whether or not something’s working on social media, right? I mean, if you’ve got a lot of likes and favorites, that’s great. If you don’t, that’s less great. Isn’t that how it’s supposed to work? Well, not quite — at least according to DigitasLBi. The marketing agency worked with Wharton professor Jonah Berger to develop…

But if you don’t have a giant pile of cash from investors, it can be tough to keep up. Hence the launch of a new product called Boombox was created by a Lehi, Utah-based startup called Movement Ventures (note: not actually…
Jack Dorsey is giving about a third of his Twitter shares — or 1% of the company — back to Twitter’s employees, he said in a tweet today. A move like this is likely at least partially geared at improving morale at Twitter, which has gone through a major transition — with both a big round of layoffs and Dorsey returning as CEO happening in the past few months.…
Facebook engineering manager Ari Grant has posted an explanation for the recent issues with the app gorging itself on power. Grant says that the battery issues were caused by a series of bugs including one that ate up extra CPU cycles, causing Facebook to use up more of your iPhone battery than it should.
